Big Apple Fritters

April 28, 2024 by admin

4. Frying

Heat the oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 375°F (190°C). Carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

5. Glazing

While the fritters are still warm, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with a little milk until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the fritters, allowing it to drip down the sides. For an extra burst of flavor, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar over the top.

6. Serving Suggestions

Serve the apple fritters warm for the ultimate indulgence. They pair perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. For a healthier option, enjoy them with a side of Greek yogurt and fresh berries.
