Making the Pie Crust:
- Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Add the cubed butter and using your fingers, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add Water: Gradually add cold water to the mixture, stirring with a fork until a dough forms. Be careful not to overwork the dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll Out the Dough: After chilling, remove the dough from the refrigerator and place it on a floured surface. Roll out the dough into a circle large enough to line a pie dish.
- Line the Pie Dish: Gently transfer the rolled-out dough to a pie dish, pressing it firmly against the bottom and sides. Trim any excess dough hanging over the edges.
