Vegetarian Sticks Recipe


  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Dipping sauce of your choice (such as marinara sauce or sweet chili sauce)


  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into sticks or cubes, depending on your preference.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip each tofu stick into the olive oil, ensuring it’s well coated.
  5. Roll the tofu stick in the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs to the tofu.
  6. Place the coated tofu sticks on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tofu is golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through cooking.
  8. Once cooked, remove the tofu sticks from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve the vegetarian sticks with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
